Our Book

This 170 page A4 book details the history of choral activity in the South Oxfordshire area to the north of Reading. Set in its historical and geographical context, it chronicles the role and activities of the choir within these village communities. The book includes fascinating pen portraits of around 200 people involved with the Society, and includes hundreds of photographs, many in colour, and numerous facsimiles of documents, maps, original drawings and paintings. An absorbing record of social history from the beginning of the 2nd World War to the present day.
