Logo Competition

David has opened a competition to design a new logo for the choir. The logo is the 'SCCS' image we use on our letterhead and at the top left of the website, and is in need of an update.

Here are some you probably recognise, but I'm sure we can do just as well without their budget:

If you have any ideas, drawings or sketches, freehand or on the computer, please share them with David, or myself.  If you are not good at art, don't worry.  They do not need to be the 'finished article'.

We have already had three good entries, all from tenors!

SCCS Performed Works archive

Eric Hartley has been kind enough to give us a copy of his archive, which is a list of works SCCS has sung.

There are two versions of this list which contain exactly the same information but have been arranged differently.  In the first version, one you can look at the list sorted by composer.   In the second version you can see what we sang in each year.

60th Anniversary Year

There are ideas in the pipeline to celebrate this occasion, which will take place throughout the year.  More details will follow.

We would like to culminate the year with a dinner, now booked for 21 April 2012 at the Odney Club in Cookham.

Click here to open copies of the dinner invitation letter and reply form.

Also suggestions for a Summer concert reflecting our 60 years, whether it be a theme, or particular pieces you think would be relevant.

Volunteers are always welcome on our new subcommittee to help organise this celebration.

Please forward any names of any helpers, or ideas.  Many thanks.
